Meanwhile, PP delivered on every front, and it did so irn the "Slice of life with a dash of crazy" style that helped make season 1 so popular. It was a return to form, and you got to walk away smiling instead of cringing at the horrible mandate by Hasbro Anons, I'm curious, this isn't bait at all but, Pinkie Pride and Magical Mystery Cure were both basically song episodes, but what made one better than the other? Or at the very least one much more well received than the other here at Imlp/?

What I think made Pinkie Pride the better "musical" episode was the fact that it was an episode about parties. Not accidentally screwing up the very essence of all your friends and becoming a mother fucking alicorn Princess! Seriously, making THAT the first musical episode just seems silly really. When it comes to a storyline THAT serious it seems kind of insulting to go "oh, let's just make it a musical episode, all the conflicts? Solved in catchy songs!"
