Remember back in the day, if the media even had the balls to name 4chan, it was always described using words like "infamous", "notorious", "shocking"? moot has made some influential and far-reaching friends in the media. Ive been following this story since it happened, and I have yet to see any of the language that used to be used to describe 4chan. Since the GamerGate exodus and SJW fuckery started on fuckchan, Ive been seeing 4chan mentioned a lot more in the media and with much friendlier descriptive terms. 4chan wants you to remember it's pronouns Immediately after the Tumblr raids, there was negative press against 4chan, but shortly after that, the SJW rumors started. Not long after that the bans started. Then the censoring of politically incorrect discussion and content. Then GamerGate Then all the revelations about moot's relationship with Mallory Blair, and her deep connections in media and Gawker, and Gawker's entrenchment with the SJWs We already know all these media people know each. And when jewt capitulated on behalf of the SJWs, he won the good will of the media. moot and his new pals will be (or already are) making a lot of money when 4chan goes legit. So the media is protecting their new friend and investment They're preparing the NORPs for 4chan before it goes mainstream. They're cleaning up 4chan's image through deliberately mild language. "Popular". "Widely used". "Easy to use" Ive also seen 4chan mentioned in association with many other sites lately that it never would have been lumped in with in years past. ".sites like Reddit, 4chan and Digg, where users can blah blah blah..." And anybody notice how people aren't really approaching moot about GG? And in articles and interviews and such, no one is really mentioning 4chan, except sometimes in passing. At most, it gets mentioned that GG started on 4chan, but then it gets emphasized that 4chan censored it all and banned anybody trying to discuss it. 4chan "played nice" with the poor, harassed, innocent ladies targeted by GGers. Then the conversation quickly turns to the big, bad 8chan that is doing all this stuff. They are taking all the heat off halfchan and passing on to infinitechan. I don't believe they are doing this to ruin 8chan, but to elevate 4chan. Make them mainstream, little-kids, old-ladies friendly. Zoe said something similar on her twitter as well.

Of course, they both conventiently are leaving out that GG'ers were banned from 4chan for a full month before this event took place. Zoe was even given an award for it!

It's disgusting, really. Using somebody's death to promote your own ideology/agenda. No respect for the murder, they just used it as a tool to make a point.
