Well, it's nice to see the comics trying to do something with this guy. Considering how utterly worthless he was in the S3 opening. (And the other time the comics tried doing something with him. cough)

Granted, I still hope for a return in the actual show. He still has potential to be a good villain, so long as he gets a writer who can actually write villains competently.
