Bigley

About

Bigley is a fictional character originally depicted in crude, but humorous doodles in the Super Smash Bros. Series Community on Nintendo's gaming-focused social media service, Miiverse. While his true form of appearance is impossible to comprehend, he is mostly described as a stick figure with "arm-leaf-wing-petals" on his back, and a "magical" beak.

Origin

On January 19th, 2014, Miiverse user TheLink551 (More commonly known as simply Jaden) posted a handwritten drawing of a large, bizarre creature that parodies Metroid antagonist Ridley, who's possible appearance as a playable character in Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. has been doubted and often ridiculed for him being "too big".

Spread

Since then, the character's popularity has spread within the Super Smash Bros. Series Community, and other sections of Miiverse. He has also appeared in the work of the users of Collecting Smiles' Colors! painting software, as seen on the official gallery. He was hinted as a secret character in Meme Run and is one of four playable characters in the Super Mario Bros. 2 rom hack, Doki Doki Hatty.

Around March 2014, there was a hashtag spreading around Miiverse called "#BigleyInternational", leading to weeks upon weeks of non-stop Bigley drawings on all three versions of the Super Smash Bros. series community(Americas, Europe and Oceanias, and Japan).

Fatley

Bigley also has a meme based off him named Fatley, who is very obscure and is his cousin. His said reasons for being overweight are "He ate too many godzillas and fuzzy pickles with 1000 Island Ranch."
