These are his character sheet profiles from then and now. I wouldn't have posted this, but I'm really impressed with how much of a difference there is just from a year's experience and some slight design tweaks.

In response to the meme, this image was rendered to take it to extremes. It was for an idea for a book that was written in 2002, and released for free in 2012 to avoid issues with Seven Towns Ltd. on the Rubik trademark.

This is sad. Reddit advice animal fads get confirmed by the dozen, but memes that I actually see in places other than Cheezburger take 9 months or more to get confirmed.
