About

Manbearpig is a fictional creature from the TV series South Park. Manbearpig originally debuted in the show on April 26, 2006 under the episode of the same name. The episode parodies global warming and the book and film An Inconvenient Truth. Since his original appearance, Manbearpig makes three more cameos in the episode "Imagionationland" and the South Park video games "South Park Let's Go Tower Defense Play!" and "South Park: Tenorman's Revenge."

Origin

During the South Park episode, "ManBearPig," Al Gore visits South Park Elementary School and talks about the terrible Manbearpig, claiming that it is "half man, half bear, and half pig." As doubt is raised on the fidelity of the creature, Gore demands people to take him "super cereal", using cereal in place of "serious." Throughout the episode Manbearpig is nowhere to be seen, and during the course, Al Gore claims to have finally killed him.

During the "Imagionationland" three-part episode, Manbearpig appears as an actual entity that, along with other nightmare creatures and characters, plots to kill everyone in Imagionationland. However, he makes his way into the real world until he is pulled back into a portal between the real world and Imagionationland, bringing Stan along. After Al Gore intercepts footage of Manbearpig, he attempts to nuke Imagionationland to kill it. It's current whereabouts are unknown since the episode.

Online Presence

The website, Manbearpig.net is currently dedicated to proving the existence of Manbearpig. According to the site's description, Manbearpig seems to be highly present in Hallam, Melbourne, Victoria, and the general area of Australia.
