Secret Butt Fun

“Secret Butt Fun” is a popular phrase mainly used within the internets growing Brony population. This phrase is used to refer to implied or directly stated sexual relations between characters, and is primarily used on imageboards or image hosting sites.

Origin

Secret Butt Fun was first seen in a commercial for the HUB network’s TV show “Pound puppies”. In this comericial, the character Niblet, a large sheep dog saying “Secret But Fun” was seen to help declare the show’s main direction of a secret club house underneath the local pound that the dogs reside in. Hub appeared for a time to be unaware of the unintended sexual reference. Eventually, someone within the network caught on, and the commercial was pulled from the air.

Spread

The original “Secret Butt Fun” commercial first made its way onto the internet during the end credits of the show “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic”. The adult “Brony” community adopted this phrase and began using it in their forums and imageboards. It is believed that this trend began on 4chan’s /co/, but there has been no direct confirmation.
The phrase has since been used on the numerous Brony websites such as Ponibooru and Ponychan, where it became an alternative to other phrases and image macros such as “Surprise Buttsex”. The phrase has not seen much spread outside the Brony community, but has permeated this rather large fandom.

Secret Brush Fun

On the site ponibooru, the single largest brony image site, a new derivative of Secret Butt Fun emerged during late May, 2011. The website had already seen numerous Secret Butt Fun images and comments, in addition to a large series of images involving a brush from offscreen combing a characters hair, widely referred to as “brushie brushie”. Soon, members began posting pictures of the aforementioned brush touching the area in which the character in question’s genitals would be located, to their detriment/enjoyment. Several hundred of these pics emerged over the next few days. This became known as “Secret Brush Fun”
