Willy Bum Bum is the name of a viral youtube video by AlienRedWolf, aka Daniel Fowler, currently hosted under the alternate name willybumbumcartoon. The animation and accompanying song make up a delibrately crude depiction of the protagonist exploring a somewhat surreal relationship with his genitalia. As of, November 2012, the video had over 7,000,000 views.

Spread

The video is unusual compared with other newer memes of its era in that its spread seems to have been via facebook, youtube and simple word of mouth, as opposed to more ‘traditional’ meme-spreading communities such as Reddit and 4chan. It has nonetheless spawned numerous remixes and remakes, from dubstep to classical, and is referenced in many other videos besides, the earliest of which seems to have been posted around 2 years ago, giving some idea of the time for which the subject has been popularly known.
