Galaxy Brain - Special stages

If it wasn’t for the savestate feature on the Sonic DS collection, I’d have to shut everything down and give up after loosing to that blue sphere game.
Like I’d actually need to kill my system. I’d have to end it all and hope my next attempt doesn't go as wrong as this one did.
Literally.
Restarting the level and waiting for the dumb knuckles cutscene to end is already tedious enough, I just want to play as super duper sonic
