Influencer Smurf refers to memes and jokes about a YouTube influencer Smurf introduced by Rihanna, who voices the character Smurfette, in a trailer for the 2025 film Smurfs. On February 6th, 2025, Paramount Pictures posted a trailer ahead of the release of the film Smurfs to YouTube,[1] which follows Smurfette (voiced by Rihanna) as she leads the Smurfs on a mission to save Papa Smurf from the wizards who kidnapped him. At roughly the 30-second timestamp, Rihanna introduced "Influencer Smurf," who said, "Smash that subscribe button," while dancing. The trailer gathered over five million plays in three days.



Initial reactions to "Influencer Smurf" on Twitter / X were overwhelmingly negative, with several internet users joking about how the character was canceled for various made-up controversies.
