DIY fails are a great reminder of why we typically choose to buy products instead of making them ourselves. There's a reason so many of us are shopping through stores, both in person and on our computers, because we'd rather not spend countless hours of our lives DIYing something pointless. At the same time, people are also DIYing pointless things because they're not available in stores, which is also not a good sign that they're worth your time. Like terrible car mods, for example, which probably aren't even legal to drive and are definitely stupid-looking anyway.

Fortunately, even when these things might actually be a public safety hazard, they can be pretty funny for the rest of us to observe and "appreciate" from afar.
