The summer of illegal fireworks is proving to be one heck of a doozie.

Major cities around the U.S. are experiencing a surge of illegal firework displays and, sure, it's a common annual occurrence but this year it's much, much worse. Some say it's due to boredom or crazy firework sales and others are spreading a series of elaborate conspiracy theories to explain the surge. Whatever the reasoning may be, city dwellers just want some sleep.
