15 Food Snobs Complaining About Everyone Else's Cooking

Pretentious people can be the absolute worst, especially because they tend to offer their opinion when nobody asked for it in the first place. They seem to think they know everything, and yet we can't remember ever consulting them for this idiotic advice. Generally, people who get themselves involved in everyone else's business aren't actually as smart as they think they are; they're just trying to show off. And they're obviously not the experts they think they are.

The following food snobs decided to dedicate their time to typing up critiques on the way people cook and eat their food online. And if they're not Gordon Ramsay, we don't care what they have to say about other people's foods. They're probably (definitely) wrong, and they're taking things a little too seriously. Here are 15 of our favorite complaints collected from the subreddit /r/IAmVeryCulinary. Here's hoping we all finally acquire a sophisticated palate by the end of the year.

Local Fare, Indian Flare

O desipdx •.. Ethan Block June 20, 2021 * The food is flavorful and of good quality, but I would not call this Indian food. It's northwestern food with an Indian flair. Thank you for stating the obvious. :) My tagline is "Local Fare - Indian Flair". I'm the chef and I'm Indian born and raised eating Indian food that's nothing like you would ever find at an Indian restaurant.

Thank You For Your Comment!

saenchanted Just a suggestion if youre marketing yourself as an authentic vietnamese bistro: most bahn mi in vietnam do not have any kinds of mayo in them 10小時 回覆 xixuphongkong @saenchanted Thank you for your comment! As a Vietnamese born and bred, living 30 years in Saigon I strongly believe that Bánh Mì (not bahn mi) is stuffed with: pork pate (pa tê gan heo) egg mayo (bơ trứng), cucumber dưa leo, pickles dưa cải chua, cold cuts thịt nguội các loại and various kinds of meat, it depends. Its so surprising for us to hear such false facts and we hope to see you soon in our Saigonese Kitchen & Bar to experience the real Southern Vietnamese cuisine from the real Viet chefs. Have a great day! 5小時 1個讚好 回覆

Make Your Own Bowl!

hts · 5 days ago Get that shrimp out of there. • 1 point · 4 days ago When you make your own bowl you can leave them out. oints 4 days ago You'd never see actual chunks of shrimp in a real bowl of ramen in Japan. Some places use shrimp powder or seasoning in fish-based broths – but never ridiculously large pieces of cocktail shrimp like this. - Thai soup with shrimp, sure. But this is like making waffles and calling it pancakes.

"No Offense"

9+ 1 Kris » For Our Love Of Cooking 47 mins Facebook for Android I don't mean any direspect to anyone here, but why do people feel the need to smother everything? Like smother chicken, steak etc. As a chef it hurts my brain, but as a consumer I think its pretty good. Like I understand it tastes good but can you even taste the meat underneath all that sauce. That'll be enough out of me. Have a great Sunday y'all. O Like Comment 5 No offence, but if you're in a black coat you arent a chef yet. A chef wears a white coat and a proper chef gives constructive criticism instead of simply questioning why something is done. 4 40 mins Like Reply More O II
