Twitter Implodes After Nancy Pelosi Announces An Impeachment Inquiry On President Trump

At 5:00 PM this evening, the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, announced the start of an impeachment inquiry on President Trump. This news followed a Washington Post story that a US intelligence official filed a whistleblower complaint against the Trump Administration for forcing Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden.

Democrats have been placing pressure on Pelosi to investigate the whistleblower report, and impeach President Trump, following his refusal to release a transcript of his July phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy. Immediately after Pelosi's announcement, Twitter reacted with celebration, anger, and complete cynicism.
