Twitter Mourns Comedian Jerry Stiller, Who Passed Away Today At 92

Today, Ben Stiller took to his Twitter account to announce that his father, Jerry Stiller, had passed away due to natural causes at the age of 92. The comedian and actor was born in Brooklyn, New York and originally made it big in Hollywood after performing in a comedy duo with his now late wife, Anne Meara who he had two children with. Stiller was a World War II veteran who served in the U.S. Army and a graduate of Syracuse University. He is mostly known for his roles in Seinfeld and The King of Queens , as well as his appearances in his son's films including Zoolander and Heavyweights.

Even if you're not a fan of Seinfeld, there's a high probability that you have heard someone around you shout "Serenity now!" at some point in your life. That very quote was attributed to Stiller's Emmy nominated performance as Frank Constanza, father of George Constanza. His character also introduced a holiday known as "Festivus," that the world will never forget. After Ben Stiller announced the sad news on his account, many flooded Twitter with tributes, videos, and wonderful stories about his father, which caused his name to trend for hours.
