Twitter Turns Into A Wrestling Ring After The Rock Endorses Joe Biden
Yesterday morning, the world received a new video from the Rock and it strangely had nothing to do with working out in the gym, tequila, or even mocking Kevin Hart. It appears that after meeting with Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Kamala Harris virtually, Dwayne Johnson has officially decided to endorse his first presidential candidate. In the video, Johnson refers to himself as an independent and centrist, and openly admits to voting for both parties in the past. While he never directly mentions Trump in his video, Johnson discusses how his late father's words on receiving respect made his decision to endorse Biden and Harris.
After sharing this news on Twitter, many of his fans and followers either admired him for showing support, or replied with anger for getting involved with politics. After releasing the video, he then tweeted to his follower that he won't block them, or yell back at any angry replies. With five weeks left until the election, we still have many unanswered questions. Will the Rock's large social media following actually impact Joe Biden's campaign? Will we ever see a President Dwayne Johnson? And lastly, should we all be calling him "DJ," like Senator Harris and Vice President Biden?
As a political independent & centrist, I’ve voted for both parties in the past. In this critical presidential election, I’m endorsing
JoeBiden
& KamalaHarris. Progress takes courage, humanity, empathy, strength, KINDNESS & RESPECT. We must ALL VOTE: https://t.co/rZi1mxh8DC pic.twitter.com/auLbc8xDBv— Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) September 27, 2020
A critical conversation – voting. Our voice. Our power. And no matter how strongly your opinion may differ from mine, it’s always ok. You can yell all you want. I won’t block ya and I won't even yell back.😉We all still have work to do 👊🏾VOTE: https://t.co/rZi1mxh8DC pic.twitter.com/Cakow6j6CP

After the Rock shared his video, Biden responded with gratitude and a request to discuss cars at some point.
Thank you

for your support at this critical moment for our nation.
You said it best: This election is about earning the respect of the American people. It’s about decency. It’s about electing leaders who tell the truth.
Thanks again, DJ. Next time we’re talking cars. pic.twitter.com/V5kHR5fQbe
Harris thanked him for his endorsement and shared just how much of a fan she was of his movies.
I’m a huge fan of everything from Fast & Furious to Jumanji, so this endorsement means a lot to me. Welcome to Team Joe,

Kathy Griffin shared her own advice.
Good for you. Ignore the haters. Trust me, they will still watch your movies. Remember when they said they would boycott the NFL?🤣🤣🤣

Elizabeth Warren was happy to welcome him to the team.
Double woo-hoo! Welcome to

Naturally, the argument for celebrities to keep quiet about politics showed up.
I think celebrities should stay out of politics.

Some felt that he had officially lost all of his likeability.
The Rock just ended what little likability he had left …Bye Dwayne

Other users decided to diagnose the Rock with a personality disorder.
1. Self-righteous egomaniac. And why should we care who another actor endorses? What a surprise, he endorses the Democrats.
— Mark R. Levin (@marklevinshow) September 28, 2020
A request was made for the actor to meet with Trump.
Remember when
— Chris Loesch (@ChrisLoesch) September 27, 2020TheRock
had a heart to heart conversation with realDonaldTrump and examined his policies? Me either. Guess Dwayne is just as phony now as every Hollywood kook. The truth is, like Biden, China owns him. Johnson makes hundreds of millions of $$$ off China.
To think this could have all been a lot easier for him, if he had just announced that he was running himself.
Rock The Dwayne Johnson needs to stop screwing around and just run for president already https://t.co/KN2XjSqJvA
