You Know Who Else Liked 'Joker?' President Trump

After an unexpected trip to Walter Reed hospital, President Trump supposedly held a private screening of Todd Phillips' film Joker for "family, friends, and some staff" at the White House. Despite tweeting pretty much all of the time, it was a White House official who confirmed that Trump enjoyed the film and not his Twitter account. Below is a collection of Twitter users reacting to the story the minute it hit the internet.

Many users joked about the timing of the event since the President visited the hospital on the same day.

 

Trump having a panic attack and then being taken to the hospital for chest pains and then coming home Scrooge-scared of death and his family and “friends” gathering round him Logan Roy-style to stay in and watch Joker reconnecting before Trump retires to the toilet.

Some joked that it was just like any other day.

Some users felt like Trump made the Joker look bad.

 
With the film being released in early October, it was pretty shocking to hear the President had an opinion about it now.

The story was also strange enough for people to assume that The Onion had written the headline.
