You Know Who Else Liked 'Joker?' President Trump
After an unexpected trip to Walter Reed hospital, President Trump supposedly held a private screening of Todd Phillips' film Joker for "family, friends, and some staff" at the White House. Despite tweeting pretty much all of the time, it was a White House official who confirmed that Trump enjoyed the film and not his Twitter account. Below is a collection of Twitter users reacting to the story the minute it hit the internet.
If you’re wondering what Trump was doing last night, and I know you are: President Trump had people over for a viewing of "The Joker" movie Saturday night, a White House official tells CNN.

Some argued he finally realized that we live in a society.
After watching Joker, Trump is onto us Guys. He knows we live in a society. pic.twitter.com/OogP8B8uZe

Of course the photoshopped Joker photos rolled in.

Many users joked about the timing of the event since the President visited the hospital on the same day.
Trump having a panic attack and then being taken to the hospital for chest pains and then coming home Scrooge-scared of death and his family and “friends” gathering round him Logan Roy-style to stay in and watch Joker reconnecting before Trump retires to the toilet.

Some joked that it was just like any other day.

And in response, told others to not rise up.

Other's premonitions had seemingly come true.
So a few months ago I made a fake Trump tweet about him screening the Joker and loving it as a joke… https://t.co/nReoZ2zHze

Some users felt like Trump made the Joker look bad.

With the film being released in early October, it was pretty shocking to hear the President had an opinion about it now.
How have we made it so long without Trump tweeting a Joker take? https://t.co/Ibvd9Lc230

The story was also strange enough for people to assume that The Onion had written the headline.
How did this go unnoticed today? The Onion was basically shut down as a result, but I worry about cosplay at the screening. Not including Trump dancing on the WH steps. #Joker https://t.co/9U6ITUvqAL

Many just couldn't picture the President having enough patience to watch the whole film.
Imagine Trump watching Joker. https://t.co/YjcYNlfCF1

i don't really buy that Donald "please fast-forward through the boring bits in BLOODSPORT" Trump had the patience to sit through JOKER, but whatever.

And yet, maybe he saw himself in some of the characters.

Here's hoping we'll also be receiving President Trump's opinion on The Irishman.
