Have you seen people randomly commenting "I am the angry pumpkin" or "The architect and the builder" lately? Both lines come from the same copypasta from a viral Plants vs. Zombies video in which a streamer promptly deals with a catapult threatening his plants. There's more to the copypasta than meets the eye, even a reference to an old commercial. Want to know more. Relax, we'll handle it.
What Is ‘The Angry Pumpkin Copypasta’?
"The Angry Pumpkin Copypasta" is a funny speech said by Argentinian Twitch streamer Bananirou in one of his streams. During the stream, Bananirou was playing Plants vs. Zombies, a tower defense game, as a Catapult Zombie started threatening his plants. To deal with the enemy, Bananirou planted a Squash plant that instantly destroyed the zombie, all while the streamer provided funny commentary, such as referring to the Squash as "the angry pumpkin." Notably, the original clip is in Spanish, while the copypasta comes from a translated version.
Prior to December 2nd, an unknown user posted a translated version of the clip, with AI likely used to dub Bananirou's voice. The clip was spread around on TikTok in December 2024, and this is where the copypasta comes from.
