Great, Black Mass Resembling Venom's Symbiote Appears On Twitter

A global pandemic, the threat of World War III, Minions: The Rise of Gru delayed, 2020 has been one disaster after another. Let's be honest, now that we're in April, we're all just waiting for the next shoe to drop.

Well, wait no longer. As if things couldn't get any worse, one Twitter user discovered the Venom symbiote. Great. Now their video of this black, writhing nest has been spreading throughout Twitter, giving people flashbacks to the time they had to sit through 2018's Venom.

Obviously this has people freaking out. We've seen what the symbiote can do to people:

Yikes. All of us non-spider-people already have enough on our plate to be dealing with a symbiote situation.

But before we all jump into the proverbial lobster tank and go rolling down the street, like a turd in the wind, let's ask science what's actually going on here.

Many looking to quell the fear of yet another catastrophe have identified the mass as the highly-toxic bootlace worm. So there you go, it's just a writhing mess of "ribbon worms" that can grow 50 feet in length and can release a thick toxic mucous when irritated.

Phew. For a second there, I thought it might be something terrifying.
