About

"Like a Turd in the Wind" is a memorable quote said by the titular Marvel Comics character in the 2018 superhero action film Venom. Upon the release of the film trailer in July 2018, Venom's awkwardly juvenile affront inspired a series of parody remix videos on YouTube.

Origin

On July 31st, 2018, Sony Pictures Entertainment released the second trailer for the film Venom on YouTube. Towards the end of the trailer, Venom (portrayed by Tom Hardy) confronts a robber and says the following line (quoted below). The trailer received more than 60 million views within four months (shown below).

"We will eat both your arms, and then both of your legs, and then we will eat your face right off your head. You will be this armless, legless, faceless thing, won’t you? Rolling down the street, like a turd in the wind."

Spread

That day, YouTuber The Broken Cymbal posted a version of the clip being played on the drums. Within four months the post received more than 2,900 views (shown below, left).

The following day, YouTuber Elliot Virggo posted the clip with the text "We'll Be Right Back" at the end. The post received more than 179,000 views in four months.

On August 6th, YouTuber JB Entertainingness posted a musical parody of the line, featuring an animation of Venom playing the song. The post received more than 12,000 views in four months (shown below).
