The Madina bombings was a suicide bombing which occurred on July 4, 2016 in the parking lot of the Al-Masjid an-Nabawi (Prophet's Mosque) Madina, killing 8 (including the 4 perpetrators) and injuring 7 others. The event is known as the 2016 Saudi Arabia bombings because Jeddah and Qatif were also bombed at the same day, but is popularly known among the Muslim world as the Madina bombings because of the explosion near Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, Madina, the second holiest city in Islam. ISIS did not claim responsibility for the attacks, but is strongly suspected.
