Farting and beat-boxing dog / Собака пердит и танцует

In the depicted meme, known simply as "Farting and Beat-Boxing Dog", or СОБАКА ПЕРДИТ И ТАНЦУЕТ in online spaces, an animated, cartoonishly muscular bulldog sings hip-hop. To the beat of a very simple, most likely MIDI, stock, or homebrew beat, the dog spouts a repetitive slurry of dog-bark-like sounds; "Pur-reff-rooh-raw, Pur-reff-rooh-raw, Gih-rih-raff-ruff, Gih-rih-raff-ruff." The dog punctuates the verse thereafter with a trio of dry farts, each of which generate clouds of dirty green smoke. The dog exaggeratedly poses for every riff of gas. The gibberish verse repeats once more, along with another trio of toots, before striking a disco like pose, emitting one long and continuous fart.

One could say, the dog was quite nasty.

This meme is very hard to track for us Atlantic scholars; it's plausible that the meme is of a Russian source, or a neighboring nation such as Ukraine or Belarus. The meme is generally seen in low quality, with no higher-quality version of the animation has been found as of the writing of this article. Meanwhile, the animation itself, under all the compression, looks to be very old. There's no reflections, the dog's lips have no movement, the eyes never seem to close, the lighting is dull and flat, the background is a simple, detail-deficient concrete wall with faint graffiti-like markings; and the whole thing is taken in one shot, as the camera slowly pans right. The animation's style is very reminiscent of something from the mid-2000s; it's origin is most likely from a children's show, or an email-or-message-spread video in Slavic online communities; or possibly an inside joke among a group of animators.

The meme evolved into a "You Have Aids" form around early December of 2020, when a now deleted user posted "this particular meme" https://www.reddit.com/r/doodoofard/comments/k8hkxe/awsom_sauc/ to the r/doodoofard subreddit after some discord influences.
The meme's true break into the internet, however, came with an also now-deleted shitpost status compilation later that same month, featured near the 2-minute mark. This took the meme world by storm, where it spread to more subreddits such as r/poopshitters and r/whenthe.
