This meme started as a simple post by it's creator u/jsm916, but after he posted the template it grew farther beyond. It became a reliable source of facts and tips for both Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal users. The most common way this was done was by covering lewds of Persona 5 characters with the template while providing a useful tip. As well as give "Sauce" for the images being covered by the meme template.
