"This is how I deal with X" is a catchphrase that is often associated with an image of Arnold Schwarzenegger (John Matrix) surrounded by flames holding a M202A1 FLASH rocket launcher as seen in the 1985 American film "Commando". Red bloody text appears on the original picture (in the typical "meme fashion": on top and bottom) and X refers to some unpleasant thing/event/person/etc. that is dealt with by using a rocket launcher. White Impact font appears on reproductions of the meme from Tumblr submissions/memegenerator.

Origins

The first known creation of "This is how I deal with X" is traced back to 4chan Fall of 2010 by a member called "M" with the meme "This is how I deal with vampires that sparkle". It was well recieved by fellow members.

Spread

"This is how I deal with X" has been seen reposted on 4chan and reblogged via Tumblr. Other variations of the meme have been created, however, "Vampires that Sparkle" remains the most popular. Variations stemmed from thisishowidealwith.tumblr.com before being deleted in Spring 2011 under the tag #this is how i deal with. "This is how I deal with X" is also listed at memegenerator.net.
