Decided to play this for the first time. Thoughts are in notes:

So yeah, can see why so many people love this game. + Story is fine overall. Peach gets captured but it's for a more malevolent purpose and she actually does things whilst she was captured to help thanks to E-Mail Technology + Writing is really good, with many jokes that got me laughing. Including every scene involving Bowser + Gameplay is fun. Very beginner friendly without it being too "hand holding" + Soundtrack is amazing, fallen in love with Rougeport, Cortez Boss Theme and even just the regular Bower theme. + And I really like the characters too. Some characters clearly have accents which is a little thing I like to see (I imagine Doopliss having a Brooklyn accent for how he talks.) Biggest issue with me is the backtracking in this game. It's downright disgusting at points. Having to go round the whole world to find 1 character who ends up going back to the first place you look is d--- game design. Hate that so much. But at least I had fun largely everywhere else. Except the palace. Also I beat Hooktail without the Cricket sound thing.

Assassination Classroom

I finally got myself to finish this anime. It took me way too long, and I didn't expect to follow it till the end, but I did. It's pretty enjoyable, and has its moments, even though I thought that a lot of them were pure BS. My only problem is that it has too many characters, and I think it could have been better if the class cast was halved. Nonetheless, it handles itself pretty well and manages to find a bit of decent screentime for almost everyone. It has a few twists, but I found a lot of the things quite predictable as I watched it. Still, it is mainly a comedy, mixed with a bit of SoL, and serious stuff for the main plot.... so I can't complain too much on that.

Neon Genesis Evangelion

A few days ago I finally finished Evangelion, and I watched everything of it. All the episodes, the ending movie, the little extras and finally the Rebuild/Remake movies. Honestly, I had bought the "too deep for you" meme when I was going in, because I unionically expected it to be too deep for me. It had its issues, but I think it's a pretty fine anime. I think my problem is that I subconsciously had my expectations very high, even without thinking about it. I'm somewhat surprised that Evangelion got so popular in America despite of how incredibly Japanese it is. And I read that the author was surprised of its success too. I feel as if it inspired Metal Gear Solid 2 in a lot of aspects. My favorite scene was when they show us the Second Impact from Misato's prospective, when she's alone in the middle of the sea and sees the explosion in the distance. The noise, atmosphere, colors, it was all so.... perfect. I really enjoyed the first remake movie, and I liked the way it changed some of the things, but the second and third movie deviate too much from the source material and not in any way I like. Overall, pretty nice. I'd suggest it if you're into classics
