According to the latest report from the Washington Free Beacon, the National Science Foundation has granted nearly $1 million to a group of researchers at Indiana University for the development of an online database that can detect, track and catalogue “suspicious memes" circulating on Twitter, especially those relating to hate speech and smearing.
