TikTokers Are Bringing Back The 'Headcrusher' Pinching Gag From The '80s

The DTB Trend and the internet slang acronym "DTB" gained traction on TikTok in December 2024. The trend involves people recording themselves holding out their fingers in a pinching motion while trying to capture the face of someone in the background between their fingers. The motion is reminiscent of a recurring "Headcrusher" gag the 1980s comedy show Kids in the Hall. The trend was restarted in 2024 by Baddies Caribbean cast member "Diamond The Body." The term "DTB" has formerly also been associated with the phrase "Don't Trust B-tches" and "Don't Trust Boys." The DTB headcrushing videos often ended with the person being "pinched" playfully smacking the person recording, which added to the confusion about whether the acronym stands for "Diamond The Body" or "Don't Trust."
