after part 3, i read part 4-8 of the manga.
still think the anime is better.
the colors, the soundtrack, the voices, the colors, the openings, the colors.
To be honest, compared to the parts of the manga that the anime has covered so far, the anime is much better; by a landslide. That's the benefit of waiting 25 years for an adaptation. There's no long periods of nonsense filler that plague other anime adaptations; what filler is there is just small scenes that genuinely do add to the story (I'm told that the scene in episode 23 of Stardust Crusaders where Joseph and Jotaro talk to Suzie Q is filler, but I don't know for sure since I didn't read that far into Part 3 before skipping to Part 4 since the anime had already done a good enough job adapting the story); no major scenes were cut (the only example of a cut scene I can even think of is a small one at the start of Phantom Blood where Dio borrows a pocket watch from Jonathan); and the action just comes alive in the anime in a way that it just doesn't in the manga. The JoJo anime really is an ideal adaptation.
