Joking aside:

Battleborn and Overwatch/TF2 are BARELY related to one another. There shouldn't even be ANY comparison between them. Battleborn plays COMPLETELY DIFFERENTLY than those two.

The only common factor is that it is a First-Person Shooter with Characters that act as Classes to provide different roles in and bring different abilities to competitive team-based gameplay. The only actual factor that should be behind the "competition" between OW and BB is the release timing. Trying to classify Battleborn as closely as everyone does to OW/TF2 is ignorant absurdity – why not throw in Battlefield then? It's also a team-based FPS with classes with unique roles/abilities (albeit without the characterization).

Battleborn is a lane-based MOBA (ugh, that's the worst term; it should be replaced with something like ARTS) with robotic minions where currency dropped from them/the environment/players can be used to build/upgrade defenses and the like as well as unlock boosts for yourself, like Monday Night Combat/Super MNC. Characters start at level 1 each match and level up throughout it. Every level (including 1) unlocks a choice between one of multiple skill-altering Talents, sometimes completely transforming one skill into something else, of that level's tier (like Heroes of the Storm). Ultimate abilities, which are cooldown-based and not charged up, only become available at Level 10 (and upgradable at 20, like HotS).

Additionally, there is a randomized drop/quality loot system that does effect multiplayer gameplay (item loadouts alter stat buffs/debuffs when unlocked each match), and Story Missions with EXTREMELY Borderlands-like gameplay, bosses, overall feel, writing (ie, so much hilarious, well-timed, bleeped cursing), etc.

There. That a bit clearer for everyone…? It just pains me to see games shot down by blind visual comparisons.
Comparing two games that aren't even enough alike is one of the greatest (gaming) injustices.

I know some people don't actually pit those two against Battleborn, but some people I'm sure seriously believe it, so I had to explain.
