Overview

The Boof Drama and Allegations refers to a series of accusations made toward furry content creator Boof (also known as Brother Boofer, a bear furry), including allegations of being associated with zoophiles, supporting "cub" art, paywalling commissioned art from other artists on his Patreon, supporting white supremacists and nazi beliefs, having a boyfriend who is a police officer, being an industry plant and supporting the controversial fursuit company DHC. The allegations garnered significant attention on X / Twitter in late February 2025, inspiring Boof to post a video on YouTube addressing all of the accusations against him at once.

Background

In December 2024, a bear furry who goes by Boof, or Brother Boofer, opened social media accounts and began posting content. Boof garnered a significant following over the next few months, which some found suspicious.

On February 1st, 2025, X[1] user @iamsessuu posted a screenshot of a post by Boof sharing a screenshot of a DM between himself and the Charmin X account. In the DM, he asks to collab with them because his fursona is a bear. They respond, "Thanks for your interest in collaborating. We'll share your message with the rest of our team. If there's an opportunity to work together in the future, someone will be in touch. Thanks for thinking of us!"

In the post, @iamsessuu accuses Boof of being an industry plant for garnering such rapid popularity, also accusing him of commissioning art from people and charging others to view it through his Patreon, garnering over 1,100 likes in 20 days.

On February 10th, Boof X[2] made a post to X[2] denying accusations of supporting President Donald Trump and the fur suit company Don't Hug Cacti (DHC), which is purportedly run by zoophiles, after someone allegedly claimed he did, writing, "No I don’t support DHC and no I’m not a trump supporter. Plz stop making baseless assumptions about me," garnering over 2,000 likes in 11 days.

On February 11th, 2025, X[3] user @iamsessu made another post leveling additional accusations against Boof, writing that his partner is a cop, that Boof makes content with Trump supporters and "DHC suiters" and reiterating the Patreon allegations, garnering over 800 likes in 10 days.

Sessu @iamsessu For all the 18-20 y/o's in my arts complaining that I'm not using this post to call out real issues: -partner is a cop (ACAB) - makes content with Trump Furries (Facists) - makes content with DHC suiters (p--- apologists) - still exploiting the community for content Satisfied? I think I know why it had to be me. Because I can take it. I can shake it off, like my idol Taylor Swift once said. And I can still uwu after all is said and done.

The accusations continued to spread on X throughout the following hours. Later that day, X[4] user @BATBARKS posted, "I didn’t care for the boof drama in the slightest but the fact he’s dating a cop 27 years older than him is fucking hilarious," garnering over 2,000 likes in 10 days.

On February 16th, X[5] user @CoffinsInBloom posted an alleged Discord screenshot in which Boof writes, "Of course. We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children UwU," a white supremacist slogan known as the "14 words," garnering over 7,400 likes in five days.

Developments

On February 16th, 2025, Boof made a post to X[6] responding to the alleged Discord DM, writing, "Y’all realize how easy it is to photoshop a fake discord message? Like my opps are really trying so hard they even photoshopping fake messages to rage bait people against me. It’s getting tiring man…" garnering over 400 likes in five days.

Later, he added, "This is genuinely dangerous behavior. It’s not funny and I honestly never thought furries would do this typa thing. I have to take the high road and not reply bc thats literally all they want… as people keep believing terrible made up shit about me?"

Boof's Response Video

On February 18th, 2025, Boof posted a video to YouTube[7] responding to all the allegations made against him, garnering over 27,000 views in three days.

First, he addresses a controversy in which he filmed furries at a convention without their consent and said "smash" about them, as if playing smash or pass, calling it a joke but apologizing for not asking permission.

Next, he addresses the accusations of posting commissioned art for pay on his Patreon, claiming that those are false and he's always gotten permission from artists to share art.

After that, he addresses another bear fursuiter who claimed he "speedran" the furry community. Then he responds to the Charmin pandering allegations, claiming the posted DM was ultimately just a joke and he's not an industry plant, suggesting the Charmin response is from a bot. He says he did not know that furries are against this type of thing.

He then spoke to the accusations of hanging out with Trump-supporting furries and DHC suiters, claiming he did not know the furries he was photographed with were Trump supporters and that he was just at the con to hang out with like-minded people. He claimed he knew nothing about DHC's allegations or what DHC suits were because he's only been in the furry fandom for about three months. Allegedly, the furry in the photo got the suit before he knew about the controversy.

Next, he addresses the claims that he supports zoophiles. He says that some furries like to twist the truth and says he does not support zoos. Boof confirms he is dating a cop, but speaks against the idea of ACAB, saying that not all cops are bad and that holding that belief is "no different than saying all furries are zoos." He continued, saying a cop saved his brother's life once. Boof alleges that someone doxxed him and his boyfriend to try and prove he's a cop. Boof says he voted for Kamala Harris and his boyfriend is "in the middle" politically, but did vote for Trump.

Boof then addresses claims that he blocked people, saying he has no regrets about using the block function on people who speak badly about him. He then addresses the Discord message, claiming it's fake. He calls it "obviously fake" and talks about how easy it is to fake a Discord DM.

Boof finally discussed claims that he retweeted "cub" art on his NSFW X account,[10] which is art of underage bears. He claims that he thought the bear, which he believed was Kenai from Brother Bear, was 18 when he was really 16. He claims some people accused him of sharing Koda art, who is a younger bear, before denying being into cub content.

Online Reactions

The drama and allegations inspired memes and discourse online. For instance, on February 20th, 2025, following Boof's video, X[8] user @SkyeTheFireFox posted, "'saying ‘all cops are bad’ is the same as saying ‘all furries are zoophiles,' okay we’re off to a bad start," garnering over 38,000 likes in a day.

A post criticizing Boof's addressing of his allegations.

That same day, X[9] user @SunnyDaless posted a similar criticism, writing, "'the police system might be a little bit flawed' White Boy Boof, be so serious right now," garnering over 1,400 likes in a day.
