gemfused like everyone complaining "oh but steven just accepts him even though hes a s----- racist uncle" yeah well has it occurred to anyone that steven universe takes characters & has them develop over multiple episodes & hes probably going to change for the better over time as foreshadowed by andy saying he should change too. maybe you should actually pay attention to how this show works instead of complaining & ruining peoples fun

Is he really racist, though? He called them hippies, not some made-up racial slur. Beyond that, he was confused by these eccentric strangers who moved into his barn, not to mention dismantling his family's plane. Could someone explain to me at what point he was racist, or are his accent and conservative attitude the evidence here?
