Moon Knight's Ketamine Addiction refers to a series of photoshopped panels in which the Marvel Comics character Moon Knight talks about his ketamine addiction. The Photoshop edits were started in June 2021 by the Facebook page Moon Knight-Core, the same page responsible for the I Know You're Here Dracula You Big Fucking Nerd meme. The meme gained viral spread in the following years, becoming the subject of further photoshops and parodies treating the character's ketamine addiction in several comic panel edits shared on X, Reddit and TikTok.

Origin

On June 9th, 2021, the Facebook^[1] page Moon Knight-Core posted the earliest mention of Moon Knight's ketamine addiction in a photoshopped comic panel in which the hero is arguing with the God Khonshu, saying, "You know, at least Thor gets Valhalla. What do I get out of this!? Besides the ketamine." The post received more than 1,700 reactions and 495 shares in four years.

Photoshopped panels from Moon Knight's comic depicting his ketamine addiction were popularized among fans of the character over the following years.

For example, on January 17th, 2025, Redditor^[2] u/Azkaellon_lX posted an edited comic panel in which Moon Knight turns the Fantastic Four hero Reed Richards' laboratory into a "ketamine superlab." The meme (seen below) amassed over 13,000 upvotes and 93 comments in a month.

On the same day, Redditor^[3] u/NoAppearance7863 uploaded a different panel showing the character drawn as an angel asking if a villain has ketamine for him. The post (seen below) received more than 8,900 upvotes and 67 comments in a month.
