Actually, since the ban has remained in place even after a court-ordered stay, anyone who continues to enforce it is in contempt of court. And it's up to the Attorney General's discretion as to what laws to defend, with the proviso that they can refuse to defend laws they believe to be unconstitutional. By sacking her over her decision, Trump has threatened the independence of the judicial system. The AG is not supposed to be a sycophant of the President.

I should further stress that, simply airing one's belief can be seen to some extent as subversion for direct statements of a political nature will undermine your works and become a major political tool against you. (see justicar explains why he did not vote to protect himself against accusations of political maneuvering )

and writing material directing civil disobedience against a constitutionally sound albeit questionable law and sacrificing the air of objectivity, impartiality and fairness one could assume in the justice system is beyond agrrivating.
