What angers me most is that he's obtained by evolving a regular Waddle Dee. This may cause people not familiar with the franchise to see him as if he was a ''more powerful variant'' (like the typical stronger versions of mooks on late-game to increase difficulty), therefore adding more fuel to the ''Hat Goomba'' jokes.

Then again, Sakurai initially created him for a single minigame on Super Star and we all know how much he loves that game over all others, even different ones he made/supervised.
