Unironically the best way to get better at something is to just keep doing it, pick up on your mistakes, and try to correct them while improving yourself. (this kind of applies to everything, not just art)

So yes, funnily enough, "git gud" is actually good advice.

It would be fitting now to post that comic where some artist (or actor, dunno) is asked by a fan how they got so good, the answer being "I'll tell you a secret: I have no idea." Some people are just born good, and learning proper technique will make them putting a fine glossy finish to their (un)naturally good work in half the time most people take to learn how to use a hammer and chisel to start working off their rough edges.
