@Sonic_Hedgehog - Silence Fans

Hooray, now we get to the part of capitalism where corporations are ironically in on the anti-corporation jokes without anything more substantial. It's like the cartoon chase where they go through the door and the person with the gun is suddenly running away on all fours from the hunted animal now holding the gun and then they both realize they're in the wrong spot and switch again and continue the chase. How… comical?

I mean, you are not wrong, I guess, but would you rather have a brand either be woke like Gillette or stoic and distant like, well, most of them..? I feel like whoever is in change of the sonic_hedgehog account's approach here is still the closest to a corporation in touch with people's interests we have gotten so far, even if only the person behind the account is to be attributed with said interest if we are realistic about it. Better to make comedic attempts with varying results that we know at least a group of people will appreciate than to not make any attempts at all and not stand out from other brands in any way whatsoever; it beats maliciously pretending to care about trendy hot-button social issues or just outright not caring about people beyond their money and do nothing to change that image (something I normally do not consider a bad thing because, let us be honest, most of us do not care about corporations beyond their products and services either, so, par for the course, but gaming brands are an exception most of the time).

What exactly would being jaded about it accomplish, anyway..? Or does anyone here really expect a corporation to seriously be all like "yeah we suck lol" someday when not even individual people ourselves are that virtuous unless depression or worse is involved..? We would be trying to hold these corporations to a standard not even we can hold ourselves against, which is hardly fair or logical to do.
