I think this would be stupid and hilarious if canon, because the idea of a butch of nutty sports-fans being able to not only capture but turn two legendary beasts to their side, when much more intimidating and omnicidal beings needed to force the creatures to bend to their whims…

Actually, why havent we had a villain who uses friendship and care for their pokemon, a character who can get all the status boosts that the player does from whatever care mechanics are in the game?
