Well, in Norse Mythology, the concept of gender never mattered much to Loki.
Some days he's a man, f*cking his wife. Other days he's a woman, f*cking tons of guys and giving birth to numerous kids that he leaves behind to find more guys to have kids with.
Then there was that one weird time where he turned into a mare and gave birth to Odin's personal steed.
…Anyways, when it came to Norse mythology, Loki pretty much WAS a gender unto himself, long before the concepts of transgender or gender identities beyond male or female were ever a thing.
