This is actually kind of cool. Here's an explanation straight from them on how it was achieved. Here's a Matt Mii Fighter I just created. His ID on Shared Content is 5H10NJ45. What sets this Matt apart from the many other Matts of Shared Content is that this is the Matt. The very same Mii that kicked your ass in Wii Sports. Not a recreation. First I dumped my Wii Sports disc. Then I extracted the filesystem and, using Brawlcrate, nabbed his Mii data from an archive. (Did you know that Matt is the 25th CPU Mii internally?) Then I installed that Mii data to my Wii's NAND. To make it work I had to generate a new Avatar ID and and have it use my Client ID, otherwise it would be deemed corrupt. However this doesn't change anything about the Mii on the front-end. Now that Matt was on my Wii's Mii Channel, I could send it to my 3DS. From there, I could set Matt as the owner of an amiibo. Then I tapped that amiibo on the Switch to bring Matt over to it.
