Anime piracy is definitely the kind of piracy I take the least issue with, if at all.

Not only do Western anime services suck major balls, but also, their revenue does not even help the anime industry to begin with, contrary to their own claims. The whole point of buying a product or service is so that they get the money to produce more of the thing or makeit better, like with videogames 99% of the time, but with anime services..? They just pocket the whole earnings for themselves, dude. And if their service is not getting any better, but worse instead, then what is the point on giving them money..? All it does is reward a mediocre service without even helping the medium itself. So, piracy it is.

Their definition of "supporting the anime industry" is to just pay the license to broadcast to the anime studio. That's the fucking bare minimum lmao.

Anecdote. A friend (full on streaming services consumer) tried to convince me (never paid for a streaming service and only download torrents) that it was cheap and simple. Then spent time explaining that this seasonal anime wasn't on crunchyroll france, but crunchyroll america, when it wasn't on wakanim or ADN.

The friend paid for two of those three services and just waited for the exclusivity to end.

Lmao just pirate the shit
