Devarjaye "DJ" Daniel is from Pearland, Texas. He was diagnosed with terminal metastatic anaplastic ependymoma, a type of brain cancer that spread to his spine, in September 2018. After being diagnosed, he was given months to live and decided that he wanted to be an honorary police officer for every law enforcement agency in the U.S. By June 2022, he'd been sworn in at 560 agencies, according to local Texas news outlet Bluebonnet News.^[1]
