It's not too far fetched for her to have a hobbyist interest fencing, boxing, ballroom dancing, knitting, sewing, modern and antique fashions, and whatever else is relevant to the case at hand. And as we all know Scooby Doo is canonically related to an elder god anyways.

In Mystery Inc. turns out the reason why scoob can talk is because he is the vessel for an elder god. This god been doing that for ages and giving groups of young detectives talking animals so they can awaken him.
The group before them had an owl that joined the nazis.

He's actually a descendant of the elder god vessel… and the nazi is a parrot who is ALSO a descendant of those elder gods and ends up eaten by the elder god hidden beneath the town, then biting people in half while their corpses dangle dead there before the universe reboots them all back to life.

Mystery inc was something else.
