For those wondering what the cashier is saying: the last thing he wants is a guy that counts inventory finding out something was stolen and reporting it since it could get the cashier in trouble. He doesn't want someone trying to shoplift and justify it as "eat the rich" or "be mad at those companies and not the petty thief" like the author tried to do in the original comic or in one of her defenses since regardless of the excuse, it's still all on him.

The author behind the sociopathic New Guy comic posted another comic recently endorsing shoplifting as a recreational activity, and was met with immediate backlash for perpetuating a naive, shallow view of something many people in poverty are forced to resort to as a means of survival, not to mention the fact that excessive shoplifting can and will get stores shut down and leave their employees jobless for indefinite periods of time, if not permanently (given that the western job market is still absolute shit).
