Very true.
The name of this place is "Know Your Meme", not "Check Out Some Great Memes"
While it's a decent place to find some entertaining stuff, the point to it, at least originally, is documenting memetic phenomena across the internet, even if the meme is so terrible you'd wish it never existed in the first place.
