Apparently the direct to DVD sequel, Kangaroo Jack: G'Day U.S.A.! both stars the talking kangaroo from the single scene in the original movie and is a superior movie to the original. I wouldn't know, if I wanted to hear kangaroos rapping I'd go for a 5 minute drive and throw a first gen iPod at one.

Oh yeah. I didn't knew about this movie official misleading marketing.
I remember when I saw the ad for it on a local channel of my country. It also was adverstised as having the talking Kangoroo as the main thing. My younger self through it was cool so I watched it. And I was pretty pissed off when the talking Kangoroo was just some short imaginary sequense.

I too lazy to google. Was this some kind of intentional marketing ploy from the movie makers or the marketing people did this on their own?

Although it might had worked since even to this day people kinda talk about this movie still due to that.
