Pokemon became the RWBY of videogames, 10/10 designs but 0 substance under the surface because its fan base its gonna keep watching/playing no matter what at this point

Upon further introspection I think my dissapointment started in ORAS, but I didn't quite get it then.

Like, 6th gen included fun stuff like Mega-evolutions (genwunner wank aside…), the PSS (the best network feature in all of pokemon history, I was legit pissed when it got removed like any other gimmick), removal of HM's, further improvements to breeding, and player costumization.

Then ORAS came out lacking costumization, which I begrudgingly had to accept but when I reached the Battle Frontier and got blueballed by the game itself and Masuda telling us that an endgame is useless because of mobile games I was just like
