Super Smash Brothers Ultimate - The next DLC Fighter will also be the last one for this game

Street Fighter 5 started with 16 and will have at least 30 DLC fighters, but that game is unusual in that it has been supported for 5+ years. Mortal Kombat varies. MK9 had 28 base characters and 4 as DLC, MKX had 24 & 9, and MK11 is at 25 & 12 so far. Dragon Ball FighterZ had 21 at launch and has had 19 DLC fighters thus far. Tekken 7 has 36 base characters and 18 as DLC. SoulCalibur VI had 21 at launch and has 8 DLC fighters.

The point is, the amount of DLC a game gets can vary wildly, from as low as adding 4 characters to dozens, depending on a game's business model.

At very least, having 11 DLC fighters total is not too far out of the ordinary for a game like Smash Ultimate. However, because Ultimate's cast is so large, it is proportionately less than most other fighters.
