Come to think of it, Breath of the Wild isn't TOO different from this. The world lies in ruins, and one part of the old Kingdom is extremely hostile, but by and large Hyrule is a land of distant settlements of very diverse kinds of people living in harmony, both within their communities and as part of the larger world.

You even have that travelling bard who tells stories of the old world to people he meets along the way.

I've only seen the anime, very slow and chill, but also full of melancholy since time stops for no one, not even the human race. I'd recommend Girls Last Tour, its also a bittersweet telling of the end of humanity.
