As an amateur artist I can kinda get why. Artistic skill, and the platform it gives, is an effective vehicle for getting your voice heard. But I also resonate hugely with this meme because good gosh, I wish artists could stop voicing beliefs in such a bitter and nasty way that I default to blocking it out. It sucks the most when they are active mostly or exclusively on CERTAIN websites that seem designed to enable this nastiness.

On one hand you have SFW artist that randomly start yammering about politics that quickly devolve into a series of non-sequiturs, but on the other hand you have NSFW artist that act like brain-dead dipshits with suicide-inducingly unfunny senses of humor, so you're kinda screwed with either option.
