Surowiecki is confident that NIGHTS' candidacy will raise awareness of the issues, and get people talking about the election. However, NIGHTS' campaign is met with some skepticism. Some people think that the game's creator is trying to manipulate the public, while others think that NIGHTS is too fictional to accurately represent the presidency. Ultimately, NIGHTS loses the elections by a small margin. Nonetheless, the campaign has raised awareness of the issues surrounding the election, and Surowiecki is proud of his creation.
